Woodcuts of the South Downs. My landscapes capture the spirit and essence of the place. I love the rolling Downs and the beautiful countryside we have so close to us here.
I draw all of my woodcuts from life. I then carve the design in to the block and print them by hand.
Each piece is are unique, as I use different coloured Japanese papers and hand tinting to express different times of day or year.
I print all of my work at bip-Art Printmaking Studio in Brighton where I also teach courses in woodcut.
