Jo Delafons

I aim to create emphemeral looking sculptures that evoke feelings, memories and a sense of history. My recent works are inspired by time spent drawing, walking and intently looking at the rusting hulls and fragile jetties of Shoreham’s Riverbank.  I combine paper, wire, mixed media and found materials. Gently rising up, or being held in space; the work reflects the way my spirits lift here. These are not wrecks; they are a celebration of life and are not just survivng but thriving.
