Tony Blackmore

Tony creates intriguing geometrically-patterned hand-folded surfaces.  Employing a process of drawing and folding, and using a matte transluscent drafting film, the surface of each artwork is composed of triangles and parallelograms that appear to shift in shape and depth as light moves over the work.  This illusion is distorted even further with the movement of the viewer.

Tony graduated with an MA Fine Art from Wimbledon College of Art in 2013.  At Studio 93a he is showing with Drawing Connections, a group of 22 artists who explore the possibilities of drawing through collaboration. Tony is teaming up with  fellow graduate Ruben Hale to create something a little different.
