Marcela Montoya Turnill

Art-based research combines a variety of means of inquiry and exploration through which artistic practice develops. Underlying Montoya-Turnill´s work there is an analysis of the processes of creation and manipulation of materials. Reflective artistic scholarship creates interpretation, discovery, understanding and ultimately the creation of knowledge and artwork.

Her aim is to create awareness and a change in the political, social and economic systems, values and attitudes prevalent in the twenty-first century.
