Registering for the Artists Open Houses

The Artists Open Houses (AOH) has two festivals each year: one during the city’s May festival season, the other in the lead up to Christmas. The next festival will be the AOH 2024 May Festival.


AOH 2024 May Festival weekends:
May 4, 5 & 6 | 11 & 12 | 18 & 19 | 25, 26 & 27



Registration is open from Friday 5 January to 28 February

Full refunds are available right up until the end of the main registration period (28th February 2024). Partial refunds for listings withdrawn from the festival after this date will be offered where possible, from proof stage and beyond, but cannot be guaranteed.


Taking part:

Anyone who lives within the 01273 telephone area is eligible to register an Open House in the AOH Festival.

Those living outside the area may also take part as a guest artist exhibiting their work in someone else’s Open House.

Joining a Trail:

The Artists Open Houses are divided into local areas known as Trails. Once you have registered for Artists Open Houses you may like to join your Local Trail.  You can find information on how to contact your local Trail Contact here.

NB Trails apply to the May Festivals only – there are no trails for the Winter Festivals


All Open House online listings include:

Online Gallery:
You will receive a dedicated gallery showing six images of your/your artists work with a link to your email, phone number, Etsy or website, so that visitors to the site can buy work directly from you. You are welcome to buy an extra packages of another 12 images for a further £10

Video link:
You will also be able to make and upload a video to your listing, showing samples of work, the processes of making and ideas behind your work.

Gallery images and video links can be updated at any time up to and including during the festival period.
