‘We have previously carried out a number of research studies in collaboration with ceramic artists, and we also worked with the Brighton and Hove Artists Open Houses earlier this year in a survey of their participants, so this present study builds on the earlier work we have done.

We are especially interested in ceramic art as a calling that some people have, and expect the research to shed new light on what it means to live out a calling in the creative sector.

Participation is entirely voluntary and is also completely anonymous and confidential. We would be happy to arrange a call to discuss the project in more detail with you and answer any questions you may have.

As all three of us live in Sussex, and we are focusing our study on ceramicists living and working in Sussex and its borders so that we can deepen our understanding of the creative industries in this area.

We do hope you will be interested in taking part in our research and look forward to hearing from you soon. Please feel free to contact any of us by email, and we’d be grateful if you heard about us through the AOH network.
