Workshop: HOME
Times: 10:00 - 14:00
Outside In artist Julia Fry will run a creative workshop which invites you to play with art materials and make something that feels like home to you.
We all have different experiences of ‘home’. You might like to bring something from your home to help you get in touch with what home means to you. What is home? Is it the home we live in? Is it something that connects us to other people? Is it our environment, the plants and animals around us? Is it this planet, or this universe? What is the feeling of home? Comfort? Pain? Sadness? Joy? Relief? Bliss? Is home where the heart is?
Create your own festive decorations and make something that feels like home to you.
This workshop is drop in. The workshop is family friendly and suitable for all ages and abilities. If you have any access requirements, please get in contact with:
About the artist:
Julia Fry adores detail and repetition. You will see this in her work over and over. She likes to think about the meaning of her work once repetition and detail begin to establish themselves. As she adds layers, she begins to see themes emerge reflecting internal and external influences such as processing childhood trauma and her love of natural phenomena and the awe it inspires. Another aspect of her work is creating interactive experiences that take you into another world or show you things from another perspective.
