Caroline Chalton Hellyer
Caroline is a studio potter based in Lewes, East Sussex.Having studied a design degree in Brighton, she worked in metal for a number of years creating sheet steel furniture but was attracted back to clay by its immediacy, exciting versatility and colour.
She is now focused on wheel throwing simple, bold forms which emphasise symmetry and balance. Often keen to experiment and create new forms, her ceramics is always evolving, combining practicality with innovative shapes, textures and vibrant glazes.
Caroline’s work is on view with Emily Boo and can also be seen at ‘Potfest’ at Glynde, May 22-24th.
