Zita Saffrette
My work centres on analogue, alternative and experimental photographic techniques, but encompasses drawing and printmaking alongside or within these processes. The work is a response to the sea and totemic natural forms – trees and rocks – and through that response explores ideas of time and timelessness.
I will be showing a collaborative work with Gill Newton – “Common Ground” – where ink drawings have been made on manual drafting film. This work is part of the Drawing Connections group exhibition.
Drawing Connections was founded in 2015 as a group of artists working collaboratively to extend the medium of drawing.
