A Taste of Tile Making

Times: 21st and 22nd 2 hours

Angela Evans is an experienced tile maker. In this 2 hour introduction to making tiles she will demonstrate some of the many different ways she makes her tiles. Participants will be rolling out clay, using coloured slips, paper resist decoration and scraffito. Angela will have her stamps and her plaster moulds for everyone to experiment with too. She will take your tiles away at the end and fire them for you. The session will be 3 hours in total with 1 hour break in the middle so you the tiles can stiffen a bit before decoration, In this time you can visit the Hidden House where there is tea and cake and lovely places to sit and relax.
