Curtis Tappenden

Well-known Brighton artist, Curtis Tappenden is showing recent circus drawings sketched live at the ringside of many of the British Circuses he has visited. Drawn rapidly through performances, or at a slower pace backstage, his images capture the essence and life of this popular form of travelling theatre and the character of the daring artistes who make it possible. Curtis’s work has graced the pages of Zippo’s Circus brochures in recent years, and is archived as important research at the University for the Creative Arts.
