Kate Scott

“These paintings have a sense of balance  as if they had just come into being; and although they are abstract, it is as if they are depicting some sort of real world within themselves.”

“In my paintings, I use marks and colour instinctively as a language to convey emotion, mood, response to nature, landscape and memory; there is often a battle between recklessness and control, natural expression and artificial order.”

Kate is excited to be showing her new work at Knoyle Road, third year running, alongside many other talented artists and makers.
