I have always been intrigued with the 360 view of the human form and its complexity; it’s a frame we all inhabit but simple actions and gestures can express a variety of human thoughts and emotions. The challenge is how to portray thoughtful moments and hidden narratives for the viewer. Moving forward, I now find that I’m increasingly preoccupied with the Deconstruction and Reconstruction of my figures; multiples, texture and using combinations of cement or wood. These pieces can take on a life of their own and lead me down unexpected avenues.
