Patsy McArthur

Through my drawings and paintings, I deal with various themes but in many of the images there is a common feeling of strength and liberation. Typically, I deal with the figure in motion and strive to make images that convey a sense of power and energy. Freerunners, acrobats, trampolinists and horses all appear in my work as well as the figure underwater where I capture the ways in which people move when submerged and the effects caused by the relationship between light, colour and water.
