Sea Green Chaise Longue

Emily Beaumont

Emily Beaumont is an upholsterer trained to distinction level at London Metropolitan University, where she developed a strong foundation in both traditional upholstery techniques and contemporary design approaches. Her studies deepened her appreciation for the history of upholstery while encouraging innovation and experimentation. Her chairs are traditionally modern in style using the best vintage frames to showcase an eclectic range of incredible fabrics, always with her own creative twist.
She now runs a studio at Phoenix Art Space, where she also teaches beginner’s upholstery classes.
For 2026, as well as Open House she is joining 3 other incredible artists to present, “The Presence of Absence” exhibition at the Regency Townhouse, Brighton. Emily has collaborated directly with Frances Bloomfield to bring a fascinating look at space, memory, loss and connection through chairs. This interactive exhibition will run from 27th September until 4th October 2026.
