Linda Lieberman

30 years in the making, Lieberman’s Ocean series is an evolving body of work that explores the ecology of the sea and mankind’s relationship to it. Through sculpture and fine art photography, Lieberman reflects on mankind’s intimate connection with the ocean. We evolved from the ocean and rely on it, as do the sea creatures and birds that inhabit and feed from it. The ocean is living and breathing, and its health is inherent to us socially, economically, politically and most importantly for Lieberman – spiritually.

Like the pull of the tides, Lieberman’s work returns again and again to the ecology of the seas, reflecting the organisms it supports and the interaction between each other and their environment.
