Artist Sally May creates enticing wooden sculptures for personal gardens and commercial landscapes. She originally trained as a computer games artist but preferring life in the great outdoors, re-trained as a tree surgeon and quickly began experimenting with chainsaw carving. She’s constantly pushing the boundaries of traditional chainsaw sculpture, creating increasingly elaborate designs; expressing a sense of character in her subjects. Much of her work is inspired by the animals and birds seen in the fields around her Norfolk home.
