Arts Council England COVID-19 Emergency Funding

 

Arts Council England have announced a series of emergency funding packages to support individuals and organisations working in the cultural sector.

Arts Council England say: “We are making £160 million of emergency funding available for those organisations and individuals who will need it during this crisis, and we have also changed the funding requirements for individuals and organisations currently in receipt of our funding, to help alleviate pressure on them as best we can.

“We want to support artists, creative practitioners and freelancers as best we can in this crisis. We’re making £20 million of financial support available to individuals, so they can better sustain themselves, and their work, in the coming months.

“This will be available for individuals working in the cultural sector, including artists, creative practitioners and freelancers who  will be able to apply for grants of up to £2,500 if they have a track record in publicly funded culture.”

Arts Council England have published guidance for applicants including the detailed timetable for this fund with Round one opening on 9 April and Round 2 opening on 16 April.
