Brochure cover competition – conditions of entry

Entry is open to any artist exhibiting in the current Artists Open Houses Festival.

Submitted work can be in any medium, including: painting, photography, printmaking, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, sculpture, etc.

The selection panel may select a piece of work you have submitted as the 2017 brochure cover artwork, or they may invite you to produce a new specifically created piece of work.

Work will be selected by a panel comprising:

  • Nicola Coleby – Creative Programmer, Royal Pavilion
  • Chris Lord  – AOH brochure designer

The winner of the Award will receive many publicity and marketing benefits and opportunities as AOH 2017 Brochure Cover Artist and may be offered a small exhibition at The Old Market, Hove, during the May 2017 festival (depending on suitability of work) – but no payment for use of the work will be made. Work will remain the artist’s own property, with full rights permitted to AOH for all relevant promotional purposes.

You may submit:

A maximum of 3 screen resolution images of work/s you wish to enter (max individual files size 1Mb).

A one-paragraph artist statement (200 words max), to include a short reference to your training/art background.

There is no fee for submitting your work for this opportunity

The closing date for submissions is 30th May.

The winner will be announced at the Awards Event at the end of the May ’16 Festival.
