Eastbourne guest Open House: Silver, Ceramics and Paintings
Karen Holbrook from Silver, Ceramics and Paintings tell us about her Eastbourne Open House:
I grew up in Brighton and have exhibited my work across the South East. I have collectors in Spain, Switzerland and France. My work in silver or clay is whimsical; I like art to make you smile. I am mainly inspired by nature and I like to work in both mediums as then I have more scope and freedom. My work in clay is large and hi-fired so suitable for the garden. My jewellery is dramatic, also following a sculptural theme.
Alison Trask’s original oils are inspired by the coastline and countryside.
Chris Hesketh makes raku-fired ceramics animals and birds
Pat Bruce’s original water colours of Eastbourne were painted this summer.
We are all accomplished artists who have put together an exhibition. It is lovely to be taking part in the AOH festival. Do come and find us.
