Melodie Stacey, the Artists Open Houses May 2018 Brochure Cover Artist, is a mixed media artist who has lived in Brighton for some years, after studying for a degree in Fine art in Aberdeen University.

Alongside her main discipline of painting, Melodie has recently been exploring a range of media, including embroidery, tapestry, doll-making and dioramas.

The theme of storytelling runs through her work. In particular, Melodie has had an interest in fairy and folk tales from a young age and this has influenced her throughout her career
