I paint ‘The Edge of The Rainbow’, which comes from The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. She describes a space that sits just beyond reality, where all beauty, magic and art exists. I am attempting to conjure this space, through layers and layers of thin, runny oil paint to break through this reality and try and grasp what lies just beyond what we can see. It’s a place that is blurry, shimmering and impossible to capture.
