Meet The Artist – Clara Wilkinson

Over the next couple of weeks we will be introducing some of the artists and houses who are taking part in the AOH Winter Festival! Make sure you check out our website for full listings and to plan your route.
Clara is opening her seaside Regency home and studio for a third year this Christmas, exhibiting recent oil paintings and works on paper. She’ll also be selling beautifully produced giclee prints, cards and her new range of silk square scarfs with designs taken from original abstract and botanical paintings.
After the Rain -Clara Wilkinson
Clara is an artist who grew up in south London and is now based in Brighton. She studied at Central St. Martins and London Guildhall with a year studying fine art at HKU in Utrecht, Holland.
Clara’s work is inspired by the landscapes of the South Downs, Andalucia in Spain and Exmoor, Somerset – places where she spends a lot of time walking and painting in nature. She works with a mixture of media – oil paint, watercolour, ink, gouache or just a single black pen on paper.
Clara recently began opening her studio twice a year as part of Brighton’s Artists Open House exhibitions and in May 2023 she had a solo show at the Bakery Gallery on Portobello Road, London.
