Venue 56 – Rosie Wooldridge Photography

Rosie Wooldridge is passionate about photography, with a special interest in children’s portraiture in natural light and outdoor locations. She is taking part in AOH for the first time this year.

Rosie is showing her exhibition “Images of Childhood” – a series of portraits with stories and drawings of childhood told from the voices of children and young people. There are also Christmas gift vouchers available for family portrait shoots.

For “Images of Childhood” Rosie worked with a range of children and young people, encouraging them to choose a location special to them for the photograph and then to produce drawings, writing or poems to express what it meant to them.

When asked what has been the highlight of AOH so far, Rosie says: “It has been really rewarding to see the children and young people coming in to see their portraits and the other participants, and to read the honest and sometimes moving expressions of their feelings and voices.”

You can view Images of Childhood in venue 56 in Lewes on Saturday and Sunday, 11:00-16:00.
