Debs Wrekon

Debs’ work begins with what the world has thrown away. Scrap metal, kitchenalia, industrial remnants and forgotten fragments become the raw material for sculptural reinvention. She reconfigures these cast‑offs into figurative forms — often animals and other organic structures — allowing their previous lives to remain visible within the new ones she creates. The tension between the man‑made and the natural is central to her practice, as is the interplay of positive and negative space in her plasma‑cut artworks.

Her work spans large‑scale festival installations, bespoke firepits, tabletop sculpture, and statement jewellery. Whether mixed media, assemblage, or sculpture, her artworks are unified by the exploration of reinvention and finding beauty in the discarded.
