Christine Scawin

I work very intuitively, allowing the sculpture to evolve, always helped by imagination and emotion. My sources may be a natural object such as a shell, rock or tree, which I may first draw or paint outside, take photos or bring objects home for further study and inspiration. The form and surface of the piece is important, which I express with the patina, texture and colour.
