Frances Knight M.F.A : oil paintings of landscapes and seascapes painted en plein air  – on location and in the studio, exploring the  effects of colour, light and structure in the landscape; the dynamic between the physical tactile quality of the painted surface and the illusion of space and atmosphere. “My paintings  are inspired by the deep harmony and underlying unity that I experience in nature, and I seek to communicate the experience of transcendence that is fundamental to all  creation.”
