Jon Clayton

As a sculptor, I practice with a range of materials. Generally working with oak and yew wood and with the metals; steel, aluminium and lead, I combine and contrast the natural with the industrial creating abstract forms by the processes of carving and sanding, casting, welding and smithing.

The pieces are created with conceptual insight but can also be approached purely for their aesthetic qualities.
