Rebeca Gutierrez Fickling

Rebeca (b. 1993 Spain) is a visual artist focusing on ways of exploring the photographic medium ranging from printing negatives in the darkroom to making photograms within the environment. She is interested in using her images as tools to instigate discussions around social and environmental themes through a fine art approach. By working within the cameraless world with a specific interest in photograms, she strips away at the layers of photography and what it means to make an image instead of capturing one.
