Monica is a jeweller and designer based between Brighton and London. She takes inspiration from the intersection of brutalist architectural forms and the textures and shapes within nature.The collection at this years Artist Open Houses explores weathered surfaces and contours in stone and wood.
Each piece is hand carved in wax to create unique designs that references both nature and the human hand. The wax forms are then cast in sterling silver.
Having studied BA jewellery design at Central Saint Martins she is eager to reject traditional jewellery concepts and explore the boundaries of what jewellery can be.
