Medieval Mandrake

Karen Francesca

Karen Francesca has been making Public Art and gardens for over two decades. With the dual intention of making comment through large artworks, whilst also creating healthy and bio- rich environments, she facilitates direct contact with the materials of the earth, wild clay and foraging, teaching food growing and garden creation.

Francesca’s new solo, smaller work is an exploration of interconnection, bringing these aspirations into private homes and gardens in the form of micro mosaics and ceramic plaques. These beautiful works explore repetition, pattern, structure, and ornamentation, drawing on both natural forms and cultural motifs.
