Mairi Gillies also known as Woven Mairi creates traditionally handwoven textiles using heritage weaving looms. Her artwork focuses on capturing the ephemeral qualities of memory into woven cloth. She pulls inspiration from the story telling and folklore history in Sussex to retell modern tales and add to the folk stories of the area. Mairi will be bringing her weaving looms to St Ann’s Well garden for members of the public to try their hand at weaving.Media/artform: Textiles
