Haiku Poetry Discussion

Online Workshop

Haiku is the world’s shortest form of poety, just 17 syallables.

One important requirement is that each haiku must contain a seasonal reference – perfect for forcing us to notice changes in the world around us.

In this event, we will translate 3 haiku poems that were recently published on the Modern Poetry In Translation website.

No Japanese ability is required for this event. We will work the literal translation and play with the words. The event will stretch our English levels rather than our Japanese.
