Meet the Artist: Tony Mills

  • Date:

Times: 2-5pm

Local artist Tony Mills created a set of eight acrylic on canvas paintings called ‘8 Miles Away’. The title reflects the distance from Rampion Wind Farm, which lights many houses in Brighton, to the bus shelter where a homeless person slept. Tony started painting this series to help the man find a secure home and sold these paintings to buyers from Brighton to Australia, raising £26,000 for charity. His art is atmospheric and evocative, featuring Brighton & Hove landmarks we know and love. His fine art prints are on show and on sale at the Sussex Nightstop Open House at Cardinal Newman BEACH, open every Saturday and Sunday throughout the May festival and online as part of our affordable art auction.

Come and meet Tony in person this coming Saturday and see his prints up close…. we promise it’ll be worth your time! We have another 75 artworks to see at the same time spanning all media. Free parking and refreshments available too.

In person at Sussex Nightstop Open House at Cardinal Newman BEACH (Business, Enterprise and Careers Hub), The Upper Drive, Hove BN3 6ND.

You can also view Tony’s work alongside 75 other artworks at our online affordable art auction at https://www.sussexnightstop.org.uk/aoh2024/
