19 The Hidden House

142 Balfour Road, Brighton, BN1 6NE

Opening its doors for the fifth time on the Fiveways Trail, this large Edwardian house is a hidden gem set back from Balfour Road, surrounded by a mature garden in which you can enjoy tea, coffee and cakes.

My family bought this house back in 1976 and little did I think when I moved out at 18, that I’d eventually move back in with my own clan!

We’ve assembled an eclectic group of talented artists working in a wide range of media:

Annie McMullan Fused glass
Sam Wilson Metalwork
David Price Ceramic sculpture
Holly M Atelier Leather work
Louise Kelly Pottery
Shammy Ruffell Velvet cushions
Anna Tilson Crockery mosaic
Ompompom Felted knitware
Fleur Grenier Pewterwork
Benedict Gubb Painting and prints
Julia Trigg Typographic ephemera collages
