Anita Ibarra Bernal

My project is a visual exploration of time, loss, and passage. Like the horizon, repetition attempts to fix what continuously slips away. By fracturing Images and resurrecting fragments, it defies the silence that treated to erase what has been lived. And though the horizon sometimes remains hidden it endures as a silent witness to all that once was and still lingers in memory - a living line marking the threshold between the visible and the intangible. Repeated images create a visual echo, a resonance where each duplicate intensifies the tension between presence and absence.

This constant echo does not merely revive fragments of the past but also transforms them, gradually eroding their original meaning until emptiness remains. In other Compositions, a single image is fragmented into scattered pieces, leaving voids where the blank space suggests not only absence but also possibility - a fissure through which suspended time seeps.
