1 Turner Dumbrell Workshops

Dumbrells Court Road, Ditchling, BN6 8GT

The Turner Dumbrell Workshops are a hive of creativity and a destination not to be missed as you meander around Ditchling, taking in all the artistic delights. This year, eight studios will be open with work ranging from fine art, paintings and prints to leather handbags, handmade books, calligraphy and jewellery. Make sure, if you are able, to take the external staircases to the left and right of the main building to find studios 14 and 15 as they are a bit tucked away. All studios apart from these two have wheelchair access.

Jane Hopkinson Bags studios 1&2: Handmade leather bags concentrating on colour, shape and form .  Open weekdays and weekends 12/13 19/20 26/27 May.

Calligraphy and Design studio 4: Fine calligraphy, watercolour painting and animal drawings by Patricia Gidney. 

Sparrowworks studio 5: Kate Baker-Brown incorporates nature into handmade books, prints and textiles.

Window Gallery studio 9: Artworks by Philip Dunn and a bespoke picture framing service. 

Auricula  studio 12: Gemstone and freshwater pearl jewellery by Natasha Caughey. Collections are constantly evolving and each piece is unique. Commissions welcome. Also open weekdays 10am – 3pm.

Rosemary Pavey studio 13: Artist and Writer. Figurative and landscape paintings, prints, cards and books.

Bernadina Lloyd studio 14: Drawing, painting, collage, paper-making.

Gigi Lopez studio 15: Contemporary artist sending poignant messages through her new ‘Santos Series’.
