Gone Tomorrow is a waking dream. One of a series of paintings meandering through the psychological potential of the urban sprawl. It follows Mackenzie’s painting practice of creating composite landscapes from multiple street shots.Mackenzie paints fever dreams and facades and in many ways anti-ideals… What is familiar and what is hidden? A shop front in a wasted landscape is now a brothel is now a portal. Where does the urban take any of us? Sh*t still left for shoes.
