Baudelaire wrote: ‘We all come from the sea, and the sea is the mother that we carry within ourselves.’ Deep within us, there is a faint but eternal connection with oceans. Perhaps for this reason, my enduring passion endeavours to create a poetic and visual conversation between the sea, where life began and the ever-evolving interaction between mankind and the natural world. During my talk, I will share the inspiration that flows from the female body: when it belly dances in rhythm with the dolphins’ cry from underwater, or when the female takes a deep breath, and her rib cage expands to look like the skeleton structure of a hull for building a boat that will sail the seas!
