Tan Kingston Art
Tan specialises predominantly in figurative and narrative work with a bold use of colour. Inspiration comes from everyday moments, observations and sometimes a tapping into song lyrics and poetry. Tan's work is often described as painterly, and yet sometimes can be quite graphic and illustrative due in part to her formative training in Book Art & Design from the London College of Communication, for which she gained a first class honours degree. A few years later, Tan achieved a Masters degree in History & Philosophy of Art from the university of Kent.Tan exhibits in Kent, Sussex and Somerset, mentors art students and hosts workshops with a local art group.
