Help Bring Creativity to Life – Your Support Needed for Exciting Art Exhibition!

Dear Open Houses artists,
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news: thanks to the generous support of Arts Council England, we’ve been awarded funding to host a special exhibition in Brighton from June 2nd to 8th, 2025!
The exhibition, titled ‘BHT Sussex in Focus’, will showcase a powerful collection of art and written word created by clients across several of our BHT projects, including Addiction Services, Shore House & Archway, Phase One, and Route One. This multi-disciplinary event will feature a range of creative expressions, from paintings and drawings to poetry and journal writing. Our goal is to inspire clients to channel their emotions and stories through art, boosting their confidence while giving them a platform to share their voices with the community.
Thanks to Arts Council England, we’ve received funding for art supplies, but we need YOUR help to make this exhibition even bigger and better! We’re looking for donations of art materials to support the creativity of our clients. Your generous contribution will help us provide the supplies they need to bring their ideas to life.
Here’s a list of items we’re seeking (but feel free to donate anything creative!):
- Paints (all types)
- Brushes
- Canvases (any size)
- Old frames
- Coloured pencils
- Watercolour paper
- Drawing pencils
- Charcoal
- Coloured pastels
- Point ink pens
- Sharpeners & erasers
- Notepads for writing
- Glue sticks
- Tracing paper
How you can help:
- Drop off your donations at our reception at 144 London Road, or we can arrange a convenient pick-up.
- In return, we’ll promote your organisation through our social media channels, reaching over 6,000 local followers, and feature your support in our media campaign leading up to the exhibition.
- Plus, we’ll also be publishing an anthology of works from the exhibition, and your contribution might even be featured there, offering further visibility!
Your support will not only help these clients create and share their art, but it will also make an impact on their personal journeys of recovery, self-expression, and growth.
We can’t wait to see the incredible works that will come to life through your generosity.
Thank you so much for considering this opportunity to support our project. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or to arrange a donation drop-off or pick-up!
