Jewelfloozy (Charlotte Weston)
I am an actor, artist and prop maker.
Inspired by nature, folklore, history and mythology, I work in ceramic, papier-mache, collage/decoupage and sometimes fabric.
As a prop maker I enjoy the challenge of making something that can’t be found elsewhere, mainly creatures, including a life sized blue marlin.
My larger than life hedgehogs now live in the Chatsworth House collection after being commissioned for the Alice in Wonderland installation in 2014. I like to make things that stand the test of time, objects that are a pleasure to live with and look at.
I try to give all my pieces a distinct personality. I am showing at 2 houses this year. Some of my ArtDollies ( decoupaged and painted dress forms) will be at Number 10 along with some ceramics, and at Salon des Sources it will be all ceramic work.
