Francesca Grace McLeod
The majority of Francesca’s works are figurative, exploring obscured narratives and nostalgia. Her recent landscape pieces with their contrasting light and shadows attempt to capture the drama within a transient moment giving the idea that the scene depicted is on the brink of change. Francesca often works with oil paint on an aluminium surface; the luminosity of the metal gives her works a subtle glow and enables the tones and colours of the piece to alter throughout the natural light of the day or with the aid of artificial illumination.
