Red Herring started out when 7 artists came together in late 1984 with the idea of establishing studios… all these years later, it’s a little of ‘the same but different’. The current members have mostly joined Red Herring since the studios moved to Portslade in 2018 and the Shoaling exhibition represents the first collective outing in quite some years. This talk explores the process of putting on such a mixed show in such a distinctive venue.
