Ring Carving Workshop
Times: 1 pm - 4 pm
A fun 3 hour jewellery workshop with Phoebe from Phoebe Jewellery at the Red Door artist’s open house in Brighton. On the day you will learn how to make a ring by carving it from wax. No previous experience is necessary, Phoebe will guide you through everything you need to know and you will leave the workshop with new skills.
The workshop is £35 which includes tea and cake and all materials on the day. If you chose to cast your ring in solid silver, it will cost an extra £60 payable on the day.
The workshop will be under in a gazebo in the beautiful garden so please bring warm clothes depending on the weather. We’ll start off the workshop with a practice round, where you will get to experiment and learn about the use of tools and heat to create different textures. You’ll be able to discuss different ideas and look at examples to help you decide on a theme for your ring before getting stuck in on your final design!
After the workshop you can choose for your wax ring to be sent off to be cast in solid silver and then cleaned and polished ready for collection or posting out to you. There will also be the option to have your jewellery gold plated for an extra £10 also payable on the day.
