27 Park Crescent Terrace is the working studio of two painters and the workshop of makers creating bespoke as well as upholstered, redesigned vintage furniture.

Patsy McArthur is an established Scottish figurative painter. Through her drawings and paintings,  she deals with the figure in motion and strives to make images that convey a sense of power and energy. Large format charcoal drawings, oils and ink studies of figures moving through water and air.

Kathryn Lang works as a commercial artist on an array of commissions and paint effects.  Her studio work focuses on painting and the challenge of capturing elements of lighting that would otherwise only be recorded in film or photography.

Born Makers  are a Brighton based furniture-making workshop specialising in one-off or small batch production pieces.  Core materials we work with are wood and metal, and we can provide upholstery as well.  If you have an idea or need something made, please get in touch.

Lou Coates restores and redesigns vintage furniture to be bold and modern but using traditional techniques and natural materials. Chairs, sofas and cushions are finished with luxurious velvets, original printed textiles  and leather.
